Biofuels Digest Index edges down to 72.76 as ethanol equities drop

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged down 0.25 percent to 72.76 as ethanol equities dropped. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) plummeted 10.11 percent to $4.00, while Syntroleum tumbled 7.32 percent to $6.08. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) recovered 1.81 percent to $2.82 . Overall, advances and declines were even for the day.
