Phillips 66 to boost biofuel blending to lower RIN exposure

In Texas, Phillips 66 is planning to boost its biofuel blending in order to reduce its RIN exposure. The company doesn’t report its RIN expenditure, but said in its Q2 reporting that rising RIN costs have negatively impacted its profit margin, already reduced by expensive transport of North Dakota crude to the east coast for refining.
