Ethanol discount in Europe collapses on higher demand and lower inventories

In Europe, the ethanol discount that led to increased demand has narrowed to the point of reversing the demand trend. Four weeks of low ethanol prices have come to an end due to increased demand and shrinking inventories. As of Friday, Platts reports the ETBE discount at $9.62 per cubic meter, compared to $7.67/cu meter for MTBE.
