August 19, 2013 |

In Lithuania, the country’s biggest biofuel auction took place, with Baltpool hosting the sale of 780 tonnes of biofuel worth nearly USD$400,000, representing a 500% growth from the previous record transaction. Biofuel bought through the energy exchange will be supplied for the 2013-2014 heating season for USD$266 per tonne of oil equivalent.
