Indian ethanol producer gets EPA OK to produce RINs

August 20, 2013 |

In India, Nandan Cleantec announced it has now received certification from the Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) in the US. Certification with the EPA will benefit US importers as the Biodiesel produced at our Indian facility will be eligible for “Renewable Identification Number” (RINs) generation and other tax incentives as per US laws.

It was anticipated that the sales of Biodiesel would recommence in April 2013, however this was delayed as this EPA certification has taken longer than expected due to administrative delays. Nandan is now in a position to commence production from its facility in India to service orders from its US client.
