Oil World sees global biodiesel production up 6.3% in 2013

In Germany, Oil World expects global biodiesel production to hit 24.7 million metric tons this year, up 6.3%, thanks to more soybean oil in the US and Brazil used as feedstock though Argentine use will fall. Soy oil demand for biodiesel seen up 2.9% at just over 7 million tons. Palm oil and canola oil will supply feedstock for 6.3 and 6 million tons respectively.
