Future of ethanol in Kansas in jeopardy?

In Kansas, ethanol producers are claiming that they are running up against market and regulatory pressures that threaten the industry’s future in the state. Dave Vander Griend, president of ICM, told the Witchita Eagle that the ethanol industry won’t cease to exist, but is stagnating and could be taken over by the large oil companies. The press release cites the closure of the Colwich Abengoa plant that closed in 2011.
