Malaysian biodiesel exports fall 75% in August

September 11, 2013 |

In Malaysia, as a result of increased domestic demand thanks to a B5 mandate and lower demand internationally, biodiesel exports fell in August to just 8,486 metric tons, down 75%. July exports reached 33,336 tons. European import contracts typically end in July while traders were on holiday for two weeks during the Eid holiday, likely accounting for much of the drop in trade.
