New Popemobile runs on biofuel

In Italy, the new Popemobile runs on biofuel! The vintage 1984 Renault Z4 was a gift to Pope Francis I from an Italian priest who had used the car to minister to the poor in Verona’s toughest areas. The vehicle had 200,000 kilometers on it when it was given to the Pope over the weekend, and the car’s former owner made sure to point out to Francis—he says, because of his environmental sensibilities—that the vehicle ran on biofuel.
