CME biodiesel futures slide as heating oil and RIN prices weaken

In Illinois, CME biodiesel futures fell to their lowest point in five months on Monday to $4.6635 per gallon as a result of falling heating oil futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The heating oil premium to biodiesel also shrank 15 cents per gallon to just $1.60. Falling RIN prices during the past few weeks also weighed on biodiesel futures prices.
