Malaysia and Japan set up $100 million venture fund for South East Asia

In Malaysia, Japan’s Asian Energy Investments has teamed with Malaysia to set up a $100 million venture capital fund that will invest in clean energy projects in South East Asia. Part of the fund’s goal will be to finance alternative feedstocks to palm oil that has been too expensive, leaving many of the country’s biodiesel plants idle.
