Malaysia steps into biodiesel spot market as Indonesia takes a breather

In Malaysia, biodiesel producers took the place of Indonesian exporters in the spot market during September due to the latter having already committed most of its production. Malaysian biodiesel is typically $70 to $120 per ton more expensive than Indonesian biodiesel, meaning that production is usually limited to the domestic market. It’s unclear how long Indonesia will remain out of the spot market.
