Darling International gets competition OK for Rothsay purchase

In Canada, Darling International announced that the Competition Act condition required to proceed with its previously announced purchase of Rothsay, the rendering and biodiesel division of Maple Leaf Foods Inc., has been satisfied. The Company expects to close the transaction on October 28, 2013, subject to satisfaction of any remaining conditions.
