South Korea imports Brazilian ethanol for first time in two years

In South Korea, Brazilian ethanol imports have entered the market for the first time in two years. Last month Brazilian anhydrous ethanol traded at a discount of $5-$10 per ton during a few days, making way for imports of 4,055 tons. Denatured ethanol imports, including the Brazilian cargo, was up 12.5% in September over August, with South Africa, Pakistan and Vietnam providing most of the balance.
