Campaign urging Puerto Rico to sing up to RFS

In Puerto Rico, an online campaign is trying to collect 1,000 signatures to send to the governor urging him to participate in the Renewable Fuel Standard before the Oct. 31 deadline. The island’s fledgling biofuels industry needs support to grow and to ensure the island’s increased energy independence and campaign supporters believe the protectorate can follow Hawaii’s example of a successful industry after joining the RFS.
