ASB Biodiesel wants blending mandate in Hong Kong

In Hong Kong, following on the successful launch of ASB Biodiesel’s used cooking oil-based facility, the company is pushing the government to implement a biodiesel blending policy like other countries in the region. If it doesn’t happen, then its biodiesel and that of the other three producers in the country will be exported entirely to Europe. Up until now, biodiesel has been more expensive than fossil fuels but ASB expects that to change once its production is in the market.
