CARB responds to petition on federal appeals court ruling over LCFS

In California, the state’s Air Resources Board has filed a response to petitions filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th circuit in early October seeking a hearing regarding a September ruling that said the state’s Low Carbon Fuels Standard does not violate interstate commerce laws. CARB says that the LCFS does not violate trade rules and in facts encourages market establishment for a wide variety of alternative fuels.
