Dow AgroSciences receives Agrow Award for its SmartStax technology

In Indiana, Dow AgroSciences was honored for solutions to the agricultural industry. Its Refuge Advanced powered by SmartStax won the Best Stewardship Program.

StartStax is the first single-bag solution helping growers meet regulated refuge requirements and protecting their crops from above- and below-ground pests with multiple insecticidal modes of action. This helps reduce the potential for resistance because it controls insects in a variety of ways. SmartStax also allows the size of the refuge required in the U.S. Corn Belt to be reduced from 20 percent to five percent, allowing growers to protect more of their overall crop and be exemplary stewards to the environment.
