Thai ethanol consumption up 90% on year through September

In Thailand, ethanol consumption from transport for the year through September is up 90% over 2012. That equates to about 2.53 million liters per day, well above the expectation that consumption would rise 13% to 2.1 million liters per day by the end of this year. Ethanol currently accounts for 9% of national transportation fuel demand, and is on track to achieve 9 million liters of consumption per day by 2021 as laid down in the current policy.
