Noble to restart South Bend ethanol plant by Q1

November 5, 2013 |

In Indiana, Noble plans to fire up the South Bend ethanol plant by no later than March, though likely earlier in the first quarter of 2014. The company bought the mothballed facility in July from liquidators who bought it for $2.5 million at auction in January. Noble is hiring 50 people for the plant that was shut for more than a year, but grain buyers haven’t yet started buying corn.
