Celanese teams with China’s NPC to study coal-to-ethanol project

In China, Celanese has teamed with the China National Petroleum Corporation on a feasibility study for synthetic ethanol.  It’s still early days on the project so it hasn’t yet been decided if CNPC will license the coal-to-ethanol technology or if the project will be a JV.
