Saskatchewan Government Insurance won’t underwrite biodiesel farms

In Canada, Saskatchewan Government Insurance says it has no experience in on-farm biodiesel production and therefore won’t insure any farms that produce biodiesel, even—or especially—for their own use. Those who have been red-flagged by the government-owned insurer for potentially or actually producing biodiesel could find it harder to get better quotes for insurance elsewhere. SGI says it may look into underwriting biodiesel in the future, however.
