Toyota tells Thai government to ditch B7 in favor of BHD

November 19, 2013 |

In Thailand, Toyota has told the energy minister that it should focus on bio-hydrogenated diesel (renewable diesel) or B20 instead of B7.

The company has teamed with the state-owned oil company PTT on BHD research because the price of BHD is cheaper for consumers than B7. The company also wants the country to encourage investment in natural gas stations for vehicles because new car owners have complained there aren’t enough places for them to fill up.
