Indonesian palm oil production seen up 6% in 2014

In Indonesia, palm oil production should increase 6% next year to 27 million metric tons, though they could go as high as 28.5 million tons. Thanks to increased demand and an improving global economy, prices could go as high as $950 per ton. Earlier in the month, next year’s exports were estimated to increase by 15% to nearly 19 million tons.
