Ethanol prices going higher thanks to lower stocks

In Illinois, despite the fact that the ethanol mandate is lower than expected, there still isn’t enough stock on hand to supply existing demand so ethanol futures are getting stronger. The EIA says ethanol inventories are down 18% on the year while gasoline consumption is up 4.5%. Export demand is also helping to weigh on supplies and boost prices.
