Iowa’s E85 consumption in Q3 nearly double that of Q1

In Iowa, third quarter E85 consumption nearly doubled to 3.61 million gallons, up from 1.83 million gallons consumed during the first quarter of this year. During the third quarter, pump prices were often $1 per gallon cheaper than regular unleaded but with the RFS slipping, prices for E85 are going up with consumption in the fourth quarter expected to fall.
