Cargill to invest $82.5 million in German non-fuel ethanol plant

In Germany, Cargill says it will invest $82.5 million in a wheat-based ethanol plant in Barby co-located at an existing wheat mill. The distillery will produce 50,000 cubic meters annually, but not for the fuel market. The ethanol will be for pharmaceutical and beverage use instead.
