General Biodiesel collecting used oil from Alaska to produce biodiesel in Seattle

In Alaska, General Biodiesel can hope to receive 1,000 gallons per month of waste cooking oil from Juneau during the summer season that will be shipped by sea to the biodiesel plant in Seattle. The company began collecting this fall from as many as 16 businesses around the city and hopes to collect more. So far collections have reached about 1,000 gallons. General Biodiesel has a truck that does monthly pick-ups from the various partners including McDonalds and the local corrections facility.
