Biodiesel industry frustrated by slow implementation of higher blends

In Brazil, the biodiesel industry is frustrated with the government because of continued delays in boosting the blending mandate to 6% from the current 5%. The Ministry of Energy and Mines, however, won’t say when the decision to boost the blend will be made. Industry says it has already invested more than $3 billion in biodiesel production and wants the opportunity to sell more domestically.
