Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 64.78 as Christmas rally continues

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, jumped 1.06 percent to 64.78 as a small Christmas rally continued. For the day, Algae.Tec (AEB.AX) soared 66.67 percent to $0.25. Meanwhile, Amyris (AMRS) gained 2.86 percent to $3.24. Among other equities, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) jumped 5.06 percent to $18.06. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
