EPA notifies Imperial Petroleum of RIN violations

In Washington, the EPA has notified Imperial Petroleum and e-Biofuels that they have been investigated for fraudulent RINs produced between July 1, 2010 and June 2, 2011, saying that the fuel associated with the D4 RINs claimed during that period were not actually produced by e-Biofuels. The potential fine is $37,500 for every day of violation plus any savings resulting from the violation.
