Biofuels Digest Index reaches 68.69 as year-end rally continues

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, jumped 1.49 percent to 68/69 as 2013’s Santa Claus rally continued. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) gained 2.78 percent to $4.80, while Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) was off 3.02 percent to $19.25. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) surged 15.35 percent to $4.51. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 1 for the day.
