Biofuels Digest Index soars to 71.16, a four-month high

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, rocketed up 3.60 percent to 71.16, a four-month high, as 2013’s Santa Claus rally continued. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) soared 11.04 percent to $5.33, while KiOR (KIOR) surged 15.29 percent to $1.81. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) surged 15.96 percent to $5.23. Overall, advances led declines 7 to 3 for the day.
