Biofuels Digest Index rallies to 4-month high of 71.87

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 1.00 percent to 71.87, a four-month high, as 2013’s Santa Claus rally continued. Overall, the Index has surged nearly 14 percent in the past three weeks. For the day, Biox (BX.T) galloped ahead 21.21 percent to $0.40, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) slumped 3.40 percent to $5.15. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) surged 8.80 percent to $5.69. Overall, advances and declines were even for the day.
