New York governor vetoes law requiring 2% biofuel blend in heating oil

In New York state, Gov. Andrew Cuomo vetoed a bill requiring 2% biofuel in heating oil because he said it was incompatible with current law that provides a tax credit of 2 cents per gallon. The proposed law would have been a fiscal burden on the state, he said. He did encourage the legislature to take up the issue again during the next session to find a better option for supporting biofuels, however.
