EU report shows biofuel driving demand for agricultural products overall

In Belgium, the European Commission has released a report saying that it expects biofuels demand to be a main driver for increased agricultural production across the board in the 28-member state block through 2023. Overall grain production is expected to increase by nearly 12 million metric tons during that period while meal production, a key driver for biofuels because animal feed production helps offset imports, is seen rising by nearly 2 million tonnes.
