Biofuels Digest Index reaches new 8-month high of 74.62

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 0.66 percent to 74.62 – a new eight-month high, as ethanol advanced. For the day, OriginOil (OOIL) soared 21.43 percent to $0.25, while Renewable Energy Group (REGI) rallied 4.34 percent to $11.77. Among other equities, Ceres (CERE) gained 3.92 percent to $1.59. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
