Ukraine moves forward with €40m bioethanol plant

In the Ukraine, Zarya has begun construction of a new bioethanol facility, expected to cost €41.4 million and to be completed by 2015, will provide carbon dioxide and DDGS as by-products. Amidst recent protests, ‘Researchers have studied both bioethanol  production methods and the progress of relevant technologies used in both European and American countries to choose, what they believe, is the most advanced bioethanol technology for this facility,’ says Alexey Bashkir, head of chemical industry administration for the Ukraine ministry. ‘It also means gas and dust emissions should be kept to a minimum.’
