In South Carolina, South Carolina State University has added a new Engineering and Computer Science Complex. The project, partially funded by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions LLC, will house a Center for Energy Studies which will focus on the study and production of biodiesel fuel, hydrogen production through switchgrass and other agricultural waste products, and more. At a price tag of $24.5 million, the complex includes 28 laboratories, 10 classrooms, and 81 faculty offices.
