Biofuels Digest Index rises to 71.21 as advanced biofuels gain

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 0.88 percent to 71.21 as advanced biofuels moved up. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) added 3.35 percent to $7.40, while BioAmber (BIOA) rose 2.38 percent to $12.05. Among other equities, Valero (VLO) jumped 3.48 percent to $48.82. Overall, advances led declines 7 to 3 for the day.
