EPA issues divided report on air permit for proposed Hu Honua Bionergy biomass power project

In Washington, a 32-page EPA report has partly ruled in favor of a group protesting the air permit granted to Hawaii’s Hu Honua Bioenergy, but has also partly rejected it. The company is currently trying to convert the old Pepeekeo power plant to run on biomass rather than fossil fuels.
