In Kansas, Pacific Ethanol has purchased ICM’s Selective Milling Technology (SMT), a patent-pending value-added platform technology that increases ethanol yield, reduces viscosity, and increases oil recovery for its customers. Pacific Ethanol will be deploying the technology at its Magic Valley plant in Burley, Idaho. This represents the fifteenth ethanol plant running or under contract to run ICM’s SMT, raising total throughput for ICM to over 1.5 billion gallons of ethanol production per year.
