February 10, 2014 |

In Washington, the prices of D6 ethanol RINs are up to 50 cents per gallon after the EPA released December RIN generation data last week, according to ESAI, Energy Security Analysis, Inc. Ethanol blending in 2013 generated around 13.08 billion D6 RINs, well below the 13.8 billion in blending obligations mandated by RFS policy for 2013. ESAI expects RINs to increase during the first half of 2014 toward 50 cents per gallon ahead of the 2013 compliance deadline early this summer.
