BIOCOM to produce 70,000 tons of sugar by year’s end

In Angola, the AngolanBio-energy Company (BIOCOM) based in Cacuso is set to produce 70,000 metric tons of sugar by the second half of this year, helping to reduce imports. The 30 million liter per year ethanol plant and associated sugar mill are about 93% completed. By 2018/19, sugar production will reach 256,000 metric tons per year in addition to the ethanol and 28MW of electricity.
