3% of UK fuel is renewable, but 19% goes to US

In the UK, 3% of the road transport fuel supplied by the UK during FY2013 was renewable fuel, equating to more than 350 million gallons. Ethanol accounted for 50% of the 1.334 billion liters of biofuel that met sustainability requirements, biodiesel for 37%, biomethanol and methyl tertiary butyl ether for 5%. The most popular destination for the fuel was the US, with 19% of total biofuel being shipped over.
