Valicor announces VFRAC Stillage Optimization Technology

In Michigan, the Valicor announced its VFRAC Stillage Optimization Technology, a process  for improving water reuse, energy efficiency, fermentation and products of an ethanol fermentation plant. At the heart of the VFRACTM process is a hydrothermal treatment that allows the partitioning of the individual components in a plants stillage flow to facilitate their recovery with Valicor’s custom separation equipment. The innovative process technology has shown its effectiveness in recovering or removing over 1 lb. /bushel of corn oil prior to any concentration or evaporation; the process also can create new co‐products are enabled including: VPROTM – a high protein feed product similar to corn gluten meal but having ~50% protein.
