Biofuels Digest Index hits 28-month high of 76.27

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, rallied 1.33 percent to 76.27, a 28-month high, as large caps rallied. The BDI last closed above this level (at 78.64) on October 28, 2011. For the day, Amyris (AMRS) soared 26.39 percent to $4.55 after releasing its full-year earnings for 2013, while Biox (BX.T) jumped 6.00 percent to $0.53. Among other equities, KiOR (KIOR) fell 6.50 percent to $1.15. Overall, declines led advances 6 to 5 for the day.
