Freight inhibits traders from getting Rotterdam ethanol to Jamaica in time

In Jamaica, ethanol traders contemplated offering European ethanol from Rotterdam at the PetroJam’s 10,000 cu2 buying tender that closed last week, but the lack of available freight from Northwest Europe into the Caribbean got in the way. The ethanol would have had to arrive between March 14-18 but freight could only be secured in early April. Rotterdam ethanol prices are currently 35% off their 2013 peaks.
