Biofuels Digest Index rallies to 30-month high of 82.73 as ethanol surges

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, rallied 1.71 percent to 82.73 — a 30 month high —  as ethanol equities climbed anew. For the day, Amyris (AMRS) rose 5.19 percent to $5.05, while Aemetis (AMTX) was up 5.88 percent to $0.36. Among other equities, Ceres (CERE) dropped 5.19 percent to $1.28. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
