Universal Robina to begin ethanol production in the Philippines in May

In the Philippines, Universal Robina plans to open its new $35 million, 30 million liter per year ethanol plant in May, rather than March as originally planned. The facility will use molasses as feedstock and be located in Manjuyod in Negros Oriental province. Once online, total ethanol production nationally will reach 133 million liters annually.
